Nancy Riley passed peacefully at her home in Auburn, WA on July 25, 2013. She was 57. Nancy was born in Phoenix, AZ in 1956 to Carl and Virgina Sciurba. At the age of 6, Nancy moved to Torrance, CA. In her teenage years she went to South Torrance High School. Later she attended El Camino Community College in Torrance, then CSU Chico. Nancy transferred to CSU Northridge and graduated from there with a BA in Liberal Arts. Nancy married Daniel Riley in 1981 and moved to Seattle to be with him. A few years later their daughter Katie arrived to complete their family. Nancy worked as a bank teller after college, Then as a bookkeeper after marrying. She moved to Seattle and worked as a word processor at Boeing. A few years later she became a homemaker and then full-time mother. Nancy enjoyed volunteering with the PTA and Special Olympics. Her favorite flowers were tiger lilies, mums, gardenias, and roses. She shared a great love of animals with her daughter. Nancy is survived by her husband, Daniel Riley; daughter, Katie Riley (Tacoma); two brothers, Carl Sciurba (Sandy, UT) and Tom Sciurba (Lomita, CA). Funeral services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 505 17th St SE, Auburn WA. Rosary is at 10:30, Funeral Service is at 11am with a reception to follow. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way.
