Nancy Joyce Seaver

Church Hill - Nancy Joyce Seaver, 83 of Church Hill, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Holston Valley Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Born in Welch WV, she had lived most of her life in Church Hill. She was a retired LPN and enjoyed working in her flower garden, as well as, spending time with her family. She loved to cook and grew many of the ingredients that she used in her cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Seaver; her parents, Morgan and Dolly Hood Carter; sister, Ann Stallard; brothers, Morgan, Lee, and Murton. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Elaine Smith; son, Greg Seaver and wife Sue; grandchildren, Whitney Hutchins, Trevor Smith, Justin Keebler and Brianna Keebler; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Addie; sister, Linda Bond and husband Larry; brother, J. D. Carter; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Gerhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trevor Smith, Justin Keebler, Danny Carter, Raymond Carter, Anthony Hammonds and Cody Dingus. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City is serving the Seaver family.
