Nathan Lee Hattabaugh
July 16th, 1977 - August 17th, 2024
Nathan Lee Hattabaugh, 47, of Summerville, SC, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 17, 2024, surrounded by his children and family.
Nathan was born on July 16, 1977, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was the youngest of four children born to the late Fred Hattabaugh and Margaret “Jane” Hattabaugh. He earned the recognition of Eagle Scout as a teenager and attended the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. He has spent the past 25 years working on projects for SPAWAR, many of those as a Project Team Lead. He enjoyed passions such as fishing, Chicago Cubs baseball, and pranking others. He loved life and making others laugh.
The most important thing to Nathan was his three children. All three were his favorite and filled him daily with love and pride.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Hattabaugh. He is survived by his mother: Margaret “Jane” Hattabaugh; Children: Anna Hattabaugh, Andy Hattabaugh, and Adam Hattabaugh; Siblings: Mike Hattabaugh (Mary), Laura Corn (Scott), and Marga Tabor (Hudson); Nieces and Nephews: Molly Hutchison (Scott), Meghan Hattabaugh, Matthew Hattabaugh, Jeffrie Corn, Maggie Corn, William Tabor (Godson), Fredrick Tabor, Mila Tabor, and Emmett Tabor; Great Niece and Nephew: Lottie Hutchison and Judah Hutchison.
A visitation of family and friends will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Bethany UMC Spell Chapel, 118 W 3rd S St, Summerville, SC 29483, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00PM.
Per his request, Nathan’s remains will be scattered at his favorite places by his children.
