Nathan Tex Howard
April 7th, 1927 - March 1st, 2005
" Nathan “Tex” Howard, 77, of Hamilton Street died Tuesday, March 1st, 2005 at home. Born in Ashville, NC, April 7, 1927, he lived in Hampden for many years before moving to Belchertown in 1972. He worked for the former Monsanto Corp., (now Solutia) for 38 years before retiring 20 years ago. Tex was a veteran of the United States Army. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn (Fleurent) Howard in 1994 and is survived by 3 sons, Kenneth of Plymouth, ME, Nathan “Cory”, and George both of Belchertown, along with a daughter Amy Rahimi of Westfield. He also leaves 3 stepsons, Lawrence Bronner of Ware, Norman and Tony Bronner of Belchrtown, along with 3 step daughters GayAnn Bronner and Lorraine Bachand both of Belchertown and Doreen Fuller of Pelham. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Thursday March 3 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral home. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring at Quabbin Park Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, Carew St, Springfield MA."
