Nelda Susa

Biography Nelda K. Susa, 73, of Longmont, passed away February 18, 2013 at Turquoise Valley Golf Course and RV Park, Naco, Arizona. Nelda was born September 17,1939 in Rhame, North Dakota to Louie and Emma (Rud) Kosmicki where she graduated from High School in 1957. She received her Registered Nurse degree from St. Alexius School of Nursing, Bismarck, North Dakota in 1961. She worked as public health nurse for Golden Valley County, Beach, and North Dakota. On June 1,1963, she married Rudolph J. Susa and they moved to Longmont, Colorado where she was employed at the Longmont Clinic for several years and then at IBM as an Occupational Health Nurse until her retirement in!994. She is survived by her husband Rudolph, her daughter Maretta (William) Armstead and children Bryan-James, Troy-Michael and Weatherly Ann, her son Jonathan Susa (Dawna) and daughter Riley all of Ft. Collins, CO. Two brothers, Rodney Kosmicki (Teresa) of Worden, MT and Richard Kosmicki (Juline) of Billings, MT. Two Sisters, Lenora Boushele of Bowman, ND and Shirley (Jerome) Jalbert of Denver, CO and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Virgil. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Longmont and St Patricks Catholic Church in Bisbee, AZ serving as Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and as Lector. She truly loved and enjoyed her church and her family, especially the grandchildren. She loved golf, dancing and traveling in the motorhome. A Memorial Mass will be held May 7, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church located at 3791 Pike Road, Longmont, CO. In lieu of flowers to honor her life, contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Building Fund through Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home, 503 Terry St, Longmont, CO 80501.
