Nellie Satterfield Hucks Mrs. Hucks, 96, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Oaks at Town Center in Harrisburg, NC. She was born May 14, 1914 in Pineville, NC, daughter of the late Fred and Mamie Helms Satterfield. Nellie was employed in the Textile industry for over 30 years and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. If at all possible Mrs. Hucks never missed a bingo game. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hucks was preceded in death by her husband, Elliott, three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Fitzgerald; son, Eddie Hucks; sister, Helen Hatley all of Concord, NC; three grandsons and six great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 15, 2010, in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday evening November 14, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff at the Oaks at Town Center and Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region.
