Nelson Meyers enjoyed over 30 years of work accomplishments. His first job was with Boeing. He eventually began a successful career in the non-profit and public sector. He worked for Seattle OIC, and Employment Security Department of the State of Washington. He retired as an Assistant Commissioner of Employment Security. He was an avid sports fan of tennis, football, basketball and golf. He belonged to the Eastside Golf Club for many years where he enjoyed golfing and road trips with some of his closest friends, Earl Turner and Charles Brown (deceased). He was able to cheer on his beloved Seattle Seahawks during their first Super Bowl win in 2013. Over the years, he valued his friendships with so many, including Darrell Fregia, Woody Gray (deceased), Jeff Washington, Ike Turner and Charles Sadler. His favorite time was spent with family.
