Nicholas "Nick" DeSanto

DESANTO, Nicholas “Nick,” 31, of Lutz, Florida passed away May 22, 2019. He was born in Rockville Centre, New York and moved to Florida in 1994 on his 7th birthday. Nick graduated from Land O’Lakes High School with the class of 2005 and earned his Associate in Arts degree at Hillsborough Community College. He loved fishing, learning about sharks, and playing bass guitar. He served at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church as an alter server, lector, and played with the Church Life Teen Band for many years. He earned two black belts; one in Taekwondo, and the other in ToShin Do. He was a great friend, very helpful, and would drop everything to help others when he was needed. Nick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Frances Dunn; paternal grandfather, Samuel DeSanto; and his aunt, Penny Goldrick. He is survived by his parents, Deacon Frank and Kathy DeSanto; his aunts and uncles, Patricia Leffingwell, Lawrence Dunn Jr. (Arlynn), Richard Dunn, Robert Dunn (Elaine), Palma Connell (Robert), Cindy Kiefer (Kenneth); paternal grandmother, Theresa DeSanto; many loving cousins; and his beloved dogs, Stella, Luna and Coda. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Our Lady of the Rosary. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Loyless Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nick’s memory to Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
