Nicholas John Haring
August 31st, 1938 - August 15th, 2020
Tribute Nicholas John Haring August 31, 1938 – August 15, 2020 Nick was born in Denver, Colorado, the oldest son of John Jacob and Edith (Johnson) Haring. He grew up in Denver and graduated from West High School. He worked for IBM, where he began in Boulder and was then transferred to the San Jose, CA, area where he lived and worked for nearly 30 years before returning to Colorado in 2002. Nick loved working with young people, serving as a volunteer coach for youth football, basketball and track for many years in the San Francisco Bay Area. After his retirement and return to Colorado, he and his wife spent several years traveling to art shows across the western U.S. showing and selling their hand made jewelry. He loved to build things with his hands and made many pieces of furniture for his home. For the past two years Nick had been challenged with many health issues and had become increasingly house bound. He dearly loved the visits of family and friends during that time. Nick is survived by his wife, Beverly, his daughters Dorothy (Nate) Barnhart and Debra (Tim) Shane, three grandchildren Asher Barnhart, Joie (Greg) Zona and Kym (Mike) Bergen, five great grandchildren, Dayton and Bella Zona, Atreyu, Riley and Addie Bergen, his son Leigh, his brother Bil Haring, his sister Betsy (Rick) Cook and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
