Monson -Nicholas C. "Nick" Mastriani, 84 passed away July 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 23, 1938, in Waterbury, CT to the late Nicholas and Anna (Freni) Mastroianni. Nick was raised in Waterbury, CT and has lived in Monson since 1971. He owned and operated Malco Products, a hydraulics manufacturing company, for 46 years as well as the Duke’s Inn in Three Rivers. Nick was a hard worker and in his leisure time he enjoyed watching NASCAR, taking his Harley out for a ride, and boating. Above everything else in life, his family came first. He cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Carol (McDonald) Mastriani in 2020. Nick will be missed by all who knew him, including his four sons, Vincent Mastriani and his wife Donna of Three Rivers, Nick Mastriani III and his wife Jacqui of Palmer, Mike Mastriani and his wife Rayna of Three Rivers, Raymond Mastriani and his wife Erica of Bridgewater; his sister Ann-Marie Pannullo and his brother James Mastroianni both of CT; Nine grandchildren Taylor, Madison, Kennedy, Heather, Michael, Ryan, Isabella, James, and Anthony; step grandchildren Nick, Amy, and Jenna; great grandchildren Madelyn and Raegan; step great grandchildren Conor, Cian, Noah, and Able as well as many extended family members and friends. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 10th at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home from 8:15am-9:15am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00a.m. at Divine Mercy Parish. The burial will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson. Donations may be made in his memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
