Nicholas Ryan Nelson

On August 10, 1989, Nicholas Ryan Nelson was born a blessing from the Lord. He faced his challenges with a courageous spirit. Nick graduated from Lewis-Palmer High School and touched many lives along the way. He never met a stranger and welcomed all with his exuberant spirit. Nick lived a rich and full life surrounded by many who adored him. This young man brought joy and laughter everywhere he went. He will always be an inspiration and a hero to those who knew him.Nick was loved and will be dearly missed by his father Don Nelson, mother Marlene Nelson, sister Jenna Nelson, brother Michael Nelson and countless more family and friends. On January 22, 2013 Nicholas went to be with the Lord. On this day for the first time he jumped to his feet and then ran the length of heaven. A service will be held on Tuesday, Jan 29 at 1pm Woodmen Valley Chapel, Stone Chapel 290 E Woodmen Road Colorado Springs, CO 80919. Immediately following the service there will be a procession to St. Matthias Episcopal Cemetery 18320 Furrow Rd. Monument, CO 80132. Afterwards there will be a celebration of Nick's life at the family home.The family requests that all wear festive colorful clothes.
