Nicholas Chuck Tanner
October 3rd, 1990 - November 16th, 2023
Nick began his formal education at Lawndale Community Academy Elementary. After moving to Maywood IL, Nick attended Garfield Elementary School, Proviso East H. S. and graduated from Hubert Humphrey Job Corps Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota with an Associate of Science Degree in Culinary art, Where he started his lifelong dream to be a Chef ending his career at the University of Minnesota as as the head chef/Instructor . Nicholas also had a love for music where self taugh how to rap and produce many songs /works and got to work with a lot of artists that he looked up too. To know Nick was to love Nick. He was genuine, loyal, kind-hearted, humble and full of love. He had a loving and giving soul. Nick was a natural leader, mediator, trustworthy, and sincere. Nick was a wonderful listener and the best secret keeper. Nick was gentle but direct, firm but patient and never had a problem speaking his mind. He was loud and strong. Nick was full of wisdom and put everyone above him self. He was amazing to everyone who knew him. Nick was truly one of a kind, irreplaceable, and our angel on earth. On the Morning of November 16, 2023, the Lord called Nicholas home to eternal rest. He is now united with his beloved Father (Granvel Tanner jr), Grandparents, cousins, uncles and best friends again. Nick leaves to cherish his precious memories: his Mother Helen Tanner, Brother Granvel Tanner III; one sister-in-law, Jocelyn Tanner; nephew, Mario Thomas jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
