Nina Mae Dalrymple
June 2nd, 1918 - April 19th, 2016
Nina Mae Murphy Dalrymple, 97, passed on April 19, 2016 at her home, of natural causes. Originally from Danville, IL, she married her loving husband, Jerry, and moved to Florida in 1950. Over the years she worked from home while raising their daughters including sewing custom drapes for JCPenney. Her creative talents were exhibited in her home dAC.cor and later when she became an artist sharing her paintings with family and friends. She was fondly known as a doting grandmother and "the hostess with the mostess", but was probably the happiest being a partner, homemaker and world traveler with her husband of 66 years. She is survived by her daughters Nina Stafford of The Villages, FL and Cara (Andrew) Kessler of Largo; sister-in-laws, Mary Shields of Gainesville, MO and Ann Knaak of Hoffman Estates, IL; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerry; her parents; three sisters; two brothers; son, John "Jack" Peterson; grandson, Jerry Peterson; and granddaughter, Penny Felix. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 11:30 AM at the Anona United Methodist Church (Chapel), 13233 Indian Rocks Rd., Largo, with a reception to follow at the family home (details distributed at service). David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
