Nina E. Slade, a 10 year Tenino resident and former longtime Olympia resident, died at Providence St. Peter Hospital on Tuesday, March 28, 2006. She was born August 16, 1929 in Seco, Kentucky to Nathan and Nora (Hoyle) Moody. On October 22, 1948 she married Donald B. Slade in Hampton, Virginia. He survives her at the family home.Nina was a file clerk for the Washington State Department of Licensing. She enjoyed latchook work, reading, doing crossword puzzles and R.V. traveling. She had been a member of the Olympia Eagles Auxiliary #21 for 42 years. She is also survived by her daughters, Gail (Don) Grate, Sherrie (Bradley) Rohloff and Donna (Lorne) Swearingen; brother, Neil (Judy) Moody of Colorado; sister, Francis (Larry) Crosby of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Jerry (Stefanie), Bea (Sean), Jeff (Jenny), Mike, Chris, Doug and Lea; and two great-grandchildren, Ian and Kyle.
