RUBINTON—Noel Died March 14, 2016, in Charlotte, N.C. at 93, after moving from NY in May. An accomplished attorney and general counsel of Bloomingdale's for 25 years, his generous and caring spirit touched his family and many others. Devoted to Colgate University and his class of 1943, of which he was president. Served as president and chairman of the Jewish Child Care Association. Raised in Flatbush, graduated Erasmus Hall High School, served in WWII as Army Air Forces weather observer in Italy. Graduated from Harvard Law School, then assistant NY state attorney general, Rubinton & Coleman and Proskauer Rose, joining Bloomingdale's in 1966. He was the beloved father of Sarah Laditka and Noel Rubinton, father-in-law of Amy Cohen Rubinton and James Laditka, grandfather of Bella Rubinton. Loving husband of Phyllis Rubinton, who died in 1985. Funeral service: Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, 630 Amsterdam Ave., New York, N.Y., Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 9:30AM. Donations may be made to Saperstein Jewish Center, Colgate University, 13 Oak Dr., Hamilton, NY 13346.
