Beaulieu, Norbert A. ?Knobby?, 73, of Norwich, CT and a winter resident of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday January 28, 2004 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Born in New Bedford, MA he came here in 2002 from Norwich, Conn. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Bristol Community College with an Associate Degree in Fire Science. He was a retired Fire Captain with the New Bedford Fire Department after serving 29 years. He was a member of St. Joseph?s St. Therese Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #0001, Retired State, County & Municipal Employees Association and the UATAN Men?s Club of St. Petersburg. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane A.M. and Brian C. O?Friel of Norwich, CT; four brothers, Herve Beaulieu of Orlando, FL, George Beaulieu of Zephyrhills, FL, Armand Beaulieu of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Joseph Beaulieu of Missouri; two sisters, Cecile Dawson of Acushnet, MA and Doris Provencal of New Bedford, MA; two grandsons, Zachary and Mark O?Friel both of Norwich, CT; an Aunt, Jeanne Pelletier of Taunton, MA; an uncle, Roger Beaulieu of Acushnet, MA and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Theresa Szynal.
