Norma Edna Brickey

Norma Edna Brickey, 84, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Norma was a loving mother and Nannie who loved to fix Sunday dinners for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Drew and Mintie Harrell; brothers, GM Harrell, Kenneth Harrell, and Fred Harrell; grandson, Chad Morelock, sister-in-law, Vola Harrell; son-in-law, Gary Morelock; niece Patty Bond; great nephew, James Bond; nephew, Drew Harrell. Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Morelock and husband Ernie, Sharon Morelock; grandchildren, Greg Morelock, Christy Arnold, Brandy Collings, and Staci Wilmoth; sister, Thelma Elkins; brothers Virgil Harrell and wife Brenda, Troy Harrell and wife Merle; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Carter-Trent funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry Morelock officiating. A graveside service will be held 1pm Friday, March 6, 2015 at East Lawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 pm to go in procession to the cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Hunter and his staff and all the hospice nurses and all the nurses on the oncology floor.
