Norma Jean Pasco

September 16th, 1951 - October 12th, 2012

Norma Jean Pascoe, 61, of Caldwell passed away on Friday, Oct 12, 2012 at home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Norma was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 16th, 1951. Her parents are Alma and John Pirrong. Most of her childhood was spent in Oxbow, Oregon in the Hells Canyon area where she attended school in Halfway, Oregon. There she grew to be an avid horsewoman and loved riding in the mountains around Oxbow and fishing in the Snake River. Later her family moved to Boise where she finished her last year of high school at Borah High. After high school she attended Boise State University and there she met Ronald J. Pascoe and they were married July 28, 1973. She worked at Dairyman’s in Caldwell until she had a son in April of 1978. Then they lived a few years on a farm outside Middleton and added a daughter to the family in April of 1980. In 1986 they moved to the house where she made it into a home and where she raised their two children. There she raised and showed rabbits, helped start Cub Scouting for her son, and taught her daughter how to ride a horse. Norma made her children the priority in her life and enjoyed every moment with her family. Norma was a faithful member of the Body of Christ and attended the Church of Christ on Albany St. in Caldwell, Idaho. Norma enjoyed singing, playing the piano, painting, baking, gardening and crafts. Norma is survived by her husband, Ron; her father John of Boise, Id.; her two sisters, Janet (Hill) Walker of Eugene, OR., and Katherine Pirrong of Boise, ID.; her children, Daniel Pascoe of Bowling Green, KY., and Denise (Dale) Stafford of Greenleaf, ID.; her two grandchildren Colton & Connor Stafford. She was preceded in death by her mother Alma Pirrong. Norma’s funeral service will be held this Saturday, October 20th, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Sherry and I wish to send you our deepest condolences to you because of your loss. We always liked Norma, and enjoyed visiting with her. She was a very sweet and kind woman. When I was in high school, and when Sherry and I got married, Norma was almost like a big sister to me. I will miss her, but I am happy for her because she is now in the pressence of God.
