Norma "Sue" Pierce
February 13th, 1939 - July 27th, 2022
Norma Sue Harris Pierce, 83, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 27th, 2022. She was one of five children born to Richard Paul Harris and Florrie Thames Judd. She was born in Abbeville, GA in 1939 and graduated from Ft. Valley High School. While in school, she met the love of her life Thomas Pierce, Sr. Legend has it that Thomas had another girlfriend from a different high school. As the story goes, she confronted them on the tennis courts and asked Thomas to choose… they married August 10, 1957. Thomas chose wisely. She worked at Robins Air Force Base all of her career, retiring from there with the highest civilian ranking. Thomas and Sue had four children. In 1958, the first son, Thomas Pierce Jr. (Tommy) was welcomed to the family. Connie Sue Pierce followed in 1960, then Vicki Lynn Pierce in 1964. Lastly, in 1966, Randall Eric Pierce (Randy) was born. After retirement, Sue spent more time volunteering with her church wherever needed. She loved crafts, gardening, playing dominoes with her friends, playing games and solving puzzles, trying out new electronic gadgets, but most of all she loved caring and loving her family and her beloved Shih Tzu, Chloe, whom she spoiled rotten. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her much-loved stepfather J.T. Judd, her beloved husband, her two precious daughters, her brothers, Richard Paul Harris Jr. and Wendell Clovis Harris, and her sister Winona Harris Dismuke. She is survived by her sons: Tommy and Randy; her grandchildren: Jessica Baird, Connor Pierce, Crista McDaniel (Courtney), Hailey Youstra (Taylor), and Adria Pierce; her great grandchild: Leona Rose Youstra; her brother Roy Hartley Harris (Peggy); her precious dog, Chloe; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and loved her dearly. Visitation will be July 30thfrom 10:00 until 11:00 and service will follow at 11:00, officiated by Dr. Mike Parker. Both will be held at The Bridge Church, 2758 US Highway 41, Ft. Valley, Georgia 31030. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to The Bridge Church, address above.
