"Norma T. (Faust) Redin, 77, of East Longmeadow passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012, at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Her husband of 53 years, Walter D. (Sonny) Redin passed away in August 2004. Norma was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Vincent and Norma (Inman) Faust. Norma lived in East Longmeadow for more than forty years. She worked as a hairdresser for many years and enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, and visits to Cape Cod and Florida. Norma will be greatly missed by her four children, Michael G. Redin and his wife Rhea of Bonita Springs FL, Timothy Redin and his wife Janet of Hampden MA, Bonnie Gralia and her husband Ernest of Somers CT, and Cynthia A. Redin, Esq. of East Longmeadow MA. Norma is survived by two sisters, Jane Darsch of Longmeadow MA and Beverly Durrell of Springfield MA. She was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Vincent Faust, and a sister, Doris Smith. She leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren, Jaime Rechenberg of East Granby CT, Lindsay Redin of Canton MA, Sara Robertson of East Longmeadow MA, Emily Gralia of Wilbraham MA, Michael G Redin, Jr. of Lewis Center OH, Evan Proulx of Medina OH, and Rhonda DeMinico of Pembroke, and eleven great grandchildren, whom she loved and enjoyed. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Philip T. Glynn, M.D. for his excellent care and to the caring and compassionate staff at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center for the excellent care Norma received there. All services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sister Caritas Cancer Center at Mercy Medical Center, 271 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104. "
