Norma Jean Szabo
July 27th, 1949 - November 7th, 2012
Norma Jean Szabo, 63, formerly of Sprakers, NY and most recently a resident of the St. Johnsville Rehab and Nursing Center, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY Born in Rochester, NY on July 27, 1949 a daughter of George and Joan Johnson Young. She was a resident of this area for over 40 years and was a 1968 graduate of Fonda High School. Norma Jean raised two children and enjoyed being with her extended family. She married Christopher Szabo who survives of Sprakers, NY. In addition to her husband survivors include her mother, Joan Young of Amsterdam, NY. One son, Master Sergeant Christopher Szabo II of Newport, Rhode Island. One daughter, Wendy Lynn Jordan David of Amsterdam, NY. Three sisters, Barbara Multrup, Donna Young and Karrin Young. Two grandchildren, Georgianna Szabo and Christopher Szabo III. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Norma Jean was predeceased by her father George Young and a brother Ron Young. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00A.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY, with Rev. Rod Rickard presiding. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 9:00A.M. to 11:00A.M. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Johnsville Rehab and Nursing Center, Inc. 7 Timmerman Ave, St. Johnsville, NY 13452
