Norman Gene Barber, 81, husband of Judy Brown Barber, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019. A native of Franklin County, he was born on March 1, 1938 to the late Eugene Gravitt and Alice M. Barber Adams. He retired from the State of Kentucky as a mechanic. He was a member of North Frankfort Baptist Church, Franklin County Senior Citizen Center, and a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Wanda Reagan, TN, Norma Jean Eversole, Lawrenceburg, Donna Nelms, Henry County, Alice May Shepherd, Lexington, Debbie Buckler, Frankfort, Phillip Ward, Frankfort, and Maranda (Donald) Perkins, Lawrenceburg; his brother, Winford J. (Lori) Greffey, MS; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Rev David Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Jerry Brown, Joe Giles, Jeremy Clayton, James Miller, Donnie Stephens, and Phillip Ward. Honorary casketbearers will be Tommy Murphy and Donnie Perkins. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
