Norman Gedon Ison

Norman Gedon Ison, age 79 of Clinchport, VA, entered into eternity on Friday, February 17, 2023. Norman was born on November 28, 1943, in Kingsport, TN to Jack and Rose Ison. Norman worked as a production line worker in the automotive field. On December 28, 1998, Norman married Valerie Bush and after 24 years of a beautiful life together, she survives. Norman loved fishing and gardening. One of his favorite past times was antique picking and he dearly loved his family. Norman was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kyle; nephew, Moses; and sister, Lillie. Left to treasure his memory are his three daughters, Melissa Ison, Tasia Bush, and Cindy Ison; three sons, Norman Stanley Ison, Greg Ison, and Rhon Bush; four brothers, Bobby Ison, Jack Ison, David Ison, and Earl Ison; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Scott County Funeral Home Weber City, VA from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Holston View Cemetery. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
