Parsons, Norman H. 79, of Largo, died July 24, 2008 at home. Born in Georgetown, SC, he moved here in 1960 from Aiken, SC. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a manager at General Electric for 35 years. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Linda Dawson Parsons; three children, N. David Parsons, Hickory, NC, Joan P. Ray, Birmingham, AL and Phillip M. Parsons, Mechanicsville, MD; sisters, Miriam Thomas, Murrells Inlet, SC and Evelyn Weaver, Ocala, FL; brothers Ivan Parsons, Georgetown, SC and William Parsons, Barnwell, SC, fifteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday, July 27th from 3:00PM - 4:00PM at Anderson-McQueen Funeral & Cremation Center, 2201 Dr. M L King St. N. A funeral service and burial will follow in Georgetown, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to National Parkinson Foundation Inc., 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue / Bob Hope Rd., Miami, Florida 33136.
