Norman Dale Pelton

Norman Dale Pelton, 80, of Yuba City, CA, aka Daddy, Papa, Mr. P and Papa Bear passed away February 11, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. He was born August 9, 1933 and live in Yuba City, CA his entire life. He was a prominent business man and owner of Pelton's Part Rentals as well as retired from Cal Trans. Norman was an Electronics Technician 3rd class in the Navy during the Korean War period. Norman was a Mason and a Shriner for many years as well as a member of The church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints of Yuba City. Survivors include his daughters Joyce Davis, Jeri Wheeler ( Rick) and Suzanne Bryan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Patty, Earl, Kimberly (Shannon), Danita, Ashley (Kevin), Mathew, Tammy, Michelle (Carrie, Rickey, Jeffery, J.D. , Jolene (Ryan); 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Other survivors include his former wife Kyoko (Jimmy) and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred (Mim), parents Alvin & Edna Pelton, his brother Newell Pelton. Norman was also preceded in death by his daughter Arlene and sons John and David, and his nephew Gary. Norma led a full life which included hunting, fishing, camping and anything out doors. He spent numerous hours doing things with his children which including, hide and go seek; bobby socks softballand playing Acey duecey and other games."Mr P" enjoyed 29 years of serving the community at his pride and joy, Pelton's Party Rentals. Special Thanks to Colleen Boon (Allan), Norman's cousin who has assisted him for many years since the passing of his wife, as well as to Hospice and the Veterans.
