Oleen Gillenwater

Oleen Gillenwater, passed away (Wednesday April 13th, 2016) with her family by her side. She was born in Russell County, however, she spent most of her life in Weber City. She was an active member of the Log House Church in Weber City and loved serving the Lord. She worked all her life with her last employment at Kingsport Press retiring after 26 years of employment. She loved anything to do with being outside but her passion was dancing. Her family, and the time spent with them was the most important moments in her life. They always came first. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. and Nellie Johnson Moore; her siblings, Dorth Dingus, Claude Moore, Garnett Moore, Pearl Nash, Bruce Moore and two infant sisters, Dilia and Vada Moore. She leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters, Sharon Perkins and husband Hunter, Libby Morgan and granddaughter, Tracie, who loved mamaw very much; and her beloved pet, Sasha. "It's not goodbye but only for a little while. We miss you and love you so much." The family will receive friends from 5 until 7pm Friday (April 15th, 2016) at Scott County Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7pm in the funeral home chapel with Mike Culbertson speaking. Singers will be friends from the Log House Church. A graveside service has been rescheduled and will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 18th, 2016 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Virginia.
