Olga Frith, 92 years of age, passed away peacefully November 23, 2015 at 1:30 pm at Brookdale Assisted Living in Brandon, Florida of natural causes. Born March 15, 1923 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Olga immigrated to Canada in 1946, settled in Ottawa, Ontario, and married Iwan Iwankiw. She was a long time member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin and the parish's Women's Guild in Ottawa. She was also long time resident of St. Petersburg FL and a founding member of the Ukrainian community's orthodox parish in Pinellas Park; today St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. She is survived in loving memory by her son, Bogdan Iwankiw, and daughter Larissa Magee (Michael Magee), and grandchildren, Sheina and Leanne Thibeault, Tiffany DesMarais (Sebastien DesMarais) and Alex Iwankiw (Paola Iwankiw) and great grandson (Lincoln DesMarais). She is resting at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, FL with services at 1:00 pm on December 7, 2015, followed by internment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Family wishes to thank the staff and community of Brookdale Senior Living who went above and beyond in their assistance and kindness, Lifepath Hospice Teal Team for their care, compassion and family support, and Dr. Natassa Quinn and staff for many years of excellent care and understanding.
