Olga A. Harvey Parker
January 17th, 1940 - April 20th, 2008
Olga A. Harvey Parker, 68, of Gloversville and formerly of Canajoharie, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She was born in Manhattan on January 17, 1940 the daughter of the late John and Olga Elashuk Harvey. Olga attended schools in New York City and graduated from Herkimer Community College with a degree of Certified Occupational Assistant. She then worked throughout her life as a home health aid. She enjoyed life and taking care of people but most of all she loved having her grandchildren around. Survivors include her two sons: Michael Klausen and his partner Aleks Stojanovic of Albany and John Klausen of Broadalbin; five daughters: Karen Williams and her husband Raymond of Nelliston, NY, Eileen Spannbauer and her husband David of Gloversville, Laura Klausen and her fiancé Robert Darling of Johnstown, Kathleen Van Alstine of New Jersey and Colleen Van Alstine and her companion Robert of Bradenton, FL; a brother, Dennis Harvey and his wife Stella of Staten Island; a sister, Joanna Harvey Cox of Port Richey, FL; a cousin, Barbara Estevez of Staten Island; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Michael Klausen. Per Olga's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Donations may be made to a local SPCA in her memory. Arrangements are with the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home in Gloversville.
