With greatest sorrow, we announce the death of Olive Gilkes of Cotton Bailey, St John's Grenada, a longtime resident of Ocala Florida who passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her mother, the late, Browney Durrant of Cotton Bailey, St John, Grenada. She is survived by a sister in Grenada, many nieces and nephews including Veronica Smith in Canada, Rufus Smith in Grenada, Lloyd (Sprilly) and Irma in Grenada, Kaden McEwen in the U.S., many grand-nieces and nephews including Linette Redhead in Canada, numerous relatives and friends in Grenada, Trinidad, Canada and the United States, including Shirley, and her caregiver Rhonda. Funeral service of the late Olive Gilkes will be held at: Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM Interment will be at Woodlawn cemetery of Ocala, FL.
