Olivia Montoya

Olivia Montoya age 75, was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on May 13, 1944. To know Olivia was to love her! Olivia was a well-known and respected hairdresser. She was the proud owner of Olivia's hair designs. She was incredibly gifted and skilled at her craft. Over her long and successful career, she developed an eclectic clientele that ranged from government officials to the poor and elderly. Olivia had a way of making everybody feel like a somebody. She had a certain wit about her. Her energy was contagious and almost infectious. She had a great sense of humor and loved a good laugh. She had the ability to motivate and inspire people with her upbeat personality and never lacked for words. Throughout the years Olivia made many friends. Her ability to impact the lives of those around her was undeniable. Olivia loved to cook and her recipes were delicious. There wasn't anything she couldn't do. She was an amazingly smart business woman and entrepreneur. Her talents were endless and she used them well to serve others. Her heart of gold and hardworking hands blessed many individuals in the community. Her love for Christ was evident and her faith has carried into the lives of her cherished family. She is proceeded in death by her parents Herman and Helen Martinez, sister Alice Johnson, and beloved daughter Darlene McKnight. Her legacy will live on through her loving children, Yvonne Martinez (Pete), Robert Estrada (Martha), Carlos Montoya (Yvette), Anna Roybal (Fernando), her loving husband, Zoilo Montoya, her treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren, siblings Luis Martinez (Rose), Annie Bonnell, Irene Martinez, Lucy Martinez, Carmen Guzman (Joaquin), Mary Campos, Cecilia Jaramillo (Fred), Paul Martinez, Michelle Romero, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Christian Funeral Services will take place at Christ Church Santa Fe, located at 1213 Don Gaspar Ave. Santa Fe, NM 87505. A viewing will be held on December 12, 2019 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will take place on December 13, 2019 with viewing to start at 9:00am - 10:00am. The Celebration of Life will follow at 10:00am and interment at 11:30am at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Luncheon will follow the interment at Blaze Christian Fellowship. Serving the family as Pallbearers will be Richard Montoya, Fernando Roybal, Salvador Chavez, Ezekiel Montoya, Isaiah Montoya, Elijah Montoya, and Christopher McKnight. Honorable Pallbearers are Jarred Chavez, Joshua Herrera, Luke Roybal, and Carter Grayson Brawley.
