Oma Bell Smith was born November 30, 1930 in LaGrange Missouri to her parents Hartley and Mabel (Allen) Tasco. Oma was the eldest of 6 children. Oma attended LaGrange high school where she excelled in her education. Later, Oma moved to Denver Colorado where she later married her husband Paul E. Smith. Together they raised 8 children. Oma studied Nursing and business management. She was an entrepreneur by nature. Oma owned several businesses which included a janitorial service and a housekeeping business. Oma was also a real estate associate where she enjoyed helping families find homeownership. Oma was a strong woman. She worked hard and was a joy to be around. She was always clowning and kept you laughing. Oma enjoyed caring and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also liked Gardening, working on cars and home repair. She was always fixing something. Oma was known in her community for giving and having an open door policy. If you needed a place to stay, a meal, clothes or straight advice, she would be there with open arms. Oma made her final transition on March 20, 2016 in Denver, Co. She is joined in spirit by her ex husband Paul E. Smith, her parents Hartley and Mabel Tasco, her brothers Hartley Jr, and Orville Tasco, her sister Clarissa Campbell, and her grandchildren Clemmy Nevels, Tabitha and Joushua Tasco, Courtney E Smith Jr., and David Tasco. Oma leaves to cherish her memories her special friend Eddie Moore, Her children Christine Smith (Charles), Wali A. Kahabir, Caludia Harmon, Bobbie King (Brian), Charlie Foster, Jodean Foster, Maybelline Barnett, Neoma Burns (Montrose), 24 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren and many many other friends and family.
