Omar Gayheart

Omar Gayheart, 88, husband of Billie Lois (Freeman) Gayheart died on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Louisville, KY. Omar was born in Flatwoods, KY to the late Joe and Eliza Gearheart. He was a veteran of U.S Navy, was a Vice President of First Security Bank & Trust and retired from Farm Credit Services, Dallas, TX. Other than his wife Billie he is survived by one daughter, Lynn (Stephen) Cooper, Louisville, KY; one granddaughter, Kelsey Lynn Cooper, Louisville, KY; one brother, Michael (Patty) Gearheart, Nashville, TN; one sister, Georgina Chinn, Russell, KY; one sister in law, Geneva Gearheart and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Hobert Gearheart; one sister, Remantha Gearheart and brother-in-law, Daniel Chinn. A visitation will be from 4pm-6pm Sun., March 13, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center – Brannon Crossing. A graveside service will be held 11am Mon. March 14, 2022 at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Judes Children Hospital.
