Oppie Lee Wilcox Longshore Roxy

Warner Robins, GA- Oppie Lee Wilcox Longshore Roxy, 91, peacefully passed away on November 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church in Abbeville, Georgia. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM – 1:30PM thirty minutes prior to the service. Oppie was born October 24, 1926 in Abbeville, Georgia to the late John and Emma Wilcox. She lived in Warner Robins for 30 years working for R. Wayne Lowe as a bookkeeper. After a career in bookkeeping, she retired to Florida, where she took a job at Sears working part time until she was 85 years old. She was known for her love of cooking and baking cakes for her co-workers and others in the community. Her vivacious personality endeared her to everyone. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Roxy. Oppie is survived by her sister, Shirley Wilcox Williams, as well as nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Oppie.
