Oran Knowles passed away June 25, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born in Ketchikan, Alaska where he lived with his mother, Magda, and younger brother Rolfe. They later moved to Southern California where he met his wife, Linda, married 54 years. They moved to Paradise in 1969 where they raised their family. He worked as a brick mason, general contractor, and was the owner of Paradise Countertops. He also worked at Paradise Unified School District in the Maintenance Dept., and at Chico State in the Facilities Management Dept. Oran was known for his expert craftsmanship in everything he did. He was a unique character with a wicked sense of humor. He is survived by the family he loved: Wife-Linda, Sons- Randy(Tammy), Darren, Craig as well as grandchildren Tevin, Lyndsey, Lynnae, Emily, Ali and great grandson Wesley. A Celebration of Life is planned for the future. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that you remember him by planting flowers in your garden. Oran loved his flower garden.
