A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at the Church of God Seventh-day in Harrisburg for Oran “Bud” Spencer of Eugene, who died Sept. 29 of complications from Parkinson’s disease. He was 80. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.He was born Dec. 30, 1929, in Lusk, Wyo., to Oran and Helen Rigway Spencer. He married Jeanette Knoedler on July 21, 1950, in Nampa, Idaho.He worked as owner and operator of Bud’s Auto Repair Shop in Corvallis.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jereld of Caldwell, Idaho, and David of Monroe; a daughter, Lynette Chalus of Eugene; three sisters, Della Havranek of Springfield, Velma Samson of Portland and Dorothy Teichert of Middleton, Idaho; and three grandchildren.Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany. Remembrances to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
