I was very fortunate to have known Dorene during the late 1970’s and early 1980’s in Jacksonville. She was a wonderful gal. I am sorry that she had to face so much adversity during her lifetime. May she rest in peace. Condolences to her husband and the entire Giddens family.

Our deepest sympathies to the Williams and Giddens families. You are all in our thought and prayers during this most trying of times. I have many fond memories of Dorene, Darlene and Dennis during my time at the University of North Florida and the years afterwards.

🐶 Janet Wingate will be greatly missed by the camera people of the ServiceDpdProject chat.
Always attentive, always authoritative, always knowledgeable, always soothing in the comments and answers to questions.
She was exceptionally good at recognizing the (young) Danish dogs and for that she had a great memory available, with which also the historical facts were put in place.
I will miss Wingate very much, thanks Wingate and rest in peace. And condoleances to her "roomy" and other friends and relatives.

You did this for all of us, providing information and wisdom.  Each "end of the day picture" you posted brought a peaceful closure to all of us CPs.  Now when that end of day pix gets posted, I think of you, that will never change.  Thanks for everything.  RIP CP friend.  You are and will be forever remembered. A treasure to all of us. I know you are now a silent CP overseeing from a different point of view.

My deepest condolences to Wingate's family and friends.  She will be missed, and forever loved, by so many people from all over the world.  Her Service Dog Project CP Family is Blessed to have so many wonderful memories of her.  Memories of a kind, welcoming, and gentle friend.  She was always there with her own little 'wink'. 

I would like to share what I shared with her CP Family that loved her so very much;

Hearing that one of our Grand family members, Wingate...has left our earth... is heartbreaking, to say the very least. There seemed to always be a sense of comfort, knowing she was right there; ready with a pic, an answer, or something as simple as an 'up vote', that always brought a smile. Her gentleness with newcomers made you feel at home and welcomed. I thank you for that, Win.

Though we never did get to meet in person, and share that pastrami sandwich at Norton's in SB, it has always felt as if we've exchanged bear hugs for years. I felt a bond, a bond like so many others, here in your SDP Family have shared with you in their own ways. Just as we love you... it showed in all that you shared and gave...that you loved us back.

So...as the gentle coastal breeze rolls in and out, and the evening falls on the farm each night... know that you shall continue to bring a smile, a thought, a memory. And though you will be deeply missed, you will never be forgotten. Ever. Love you, Neighbor

Janet was loved by all of us camera people at Service Dog Project.  She was a wealth of information and always willing to help anyone out and she will be missed very much.  Condolences to her family and friends.

Wingate, as we knew her, was a constant presence in the Service Dog Project chat room.  Always kind, always helpful, she will always be remembered.  Rest well, sweet Wingate.

Gwen Main

I am honored to have to meet Qwen and got to spent time with her during my stay at Friendly Village Estate. She is a  wonderful , loving, caring and etc. she always make me feel great every time I am sad. I will miss her so much. Rest in peace Qwen 😢🤗

I remember Gwen and her husband and have wondered about them at times-I'm a Grand Mananer-I was a teen when they were here-great people-sorry to hear you ave lost such a treasure


So many memories of my times with the Mains. I believe I was 12 or near 13 when they arrived at our church to pastor. They had babies and I fell in love, hardly a day went by that I was not at their door to take the babies on walks, help out or just sit & talk. I have been looking back over the past 60 years this past week and I see how I was mentored, taught and cared for by Mrs Main. Many a day I would step out the door to go home and I would find a filet of haddock, a cow's tongue or a wonderful bowl veggies and she would exclaim 'now I know what we will have for supper', Living by Faith was her motto and she exemplified so in her life. Keeping kids quiet in church, there was no nursery, was quite a feat but together we accomplished most services with little disruption. I look back now and see how God was using the Mains to feed me. I was truly blessed to have them in my life and I will cherish every moment until I am called Home. 

The photos are some memories of GM days. I did not dare to put the one I found of Mrs up, she may decide to haunt me. 😀😀😀 Love you all, sorry Thom, I never got to know you but you all were in our thoughts & prayers.

We were blessed to have Gwen and Steve as neighbors. Gwen always brought laughter into the room. She listenned compassionately and loved unconditionally. She moved wherever God led Steve and her in ministry whether it was a cold or hot location; whether they would be rich or poor. She served God faithfully and wholeheartedly. She brought joy to so many and now she is brining joy to many in heaven as she praises God! We are looking forward to seeing her again!

I have been honored to have known Grandma Gwen for almost a quarter of a century! She was always the most welcoming and warm presence and treated me like a grandson from day one! She will be deeply missed but her presence and impact on our lives will never be forgotten.

I had the privilege and honor of having Gwen and Stephen as neighbor's. It seemed like such comfortable feeling visiting/talking with Gwen and her special way at times.ha .Gwen will surely be missed!  I want to express my condolence to Gwen's family for their loss   May God bless you all.

Dearest Mikel, Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they brought into our lives. And your mother was filled with love and kindness. Kenny and I are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother! She was such a wonderful and kind person to our family and will truly be missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I remember Janeth from high school. We had some classes together and talked to eachother on occasion but I didn't know her all that well. I remember her as being goofy and I along with others would laugh whenever she was around. I am truly saddened to learn that one of my fellow classmates has passed on and I would like to give my condolences to Janeths family.
