Oscar Danilo Zamora
April 9th, 1970 - November 12th, 2015
Oscar Danilo Zamora April 9, 1970 - November 12, 2015. Age 45. Oscar was born in Chinandega, Nicaragua to Auxiliadora and Ofilio Zamora but moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 14. Oscar is survived by his wife Mercedes and daughter Zophia, sister Auxiliadora Berrios, brothers Ofilio Zamora and Agusto Zamora. Oscar graduated from Florida International University and worked at B/E Aerospace as a project Engineer for 20 years. Oscar was a loving and committed husband to Mercedes and a doting father to his princess Zophia and his morkie Rosa Maria. Second only to his family was his love of sports. If it says Miami and is a team sport you could count on Oscar to be a passionate fan. There also wasn't a sport he wouldn't excel at. He was known at work as the ping pong champion and collected softball trophies on countless occasions. As a runner he was able to successfully complete a marathon and a variety of half marathons, eight milers, 10K's and 5K's in the last five years. He was proud to set a phenomenal example for his daughter and inspired friends to become active. He would cycle occasionally and go on family hikes. Family was always Oscar's number one priority and as a talented wood carver and painter left a testament of his devotion in his beautiful art as treasured memories. Along with his many talents, Oscar had a green thumb, was a gifted dancer and enjoyed playing the guitar. Traveling was among his favorite things and he was able to travel around the world to Cuba, India, Germany, France, Andorra and throughout the United States. As one of his greatest gifts he was able to share his beloved Nicaragua with the loves of his life on more than several occasions. His love was as wide as his travels and wherever he went he was happy to share his smile! As his journey continues, Oscar also leaves behind many friends and family whom he adopted as his own. OZO you were loved by many and will be forgotten by none!
