Otis Johnson

My Life Story In memory of Otis E Johnson, who passed away peacefully on June 29, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his wife Beth Tunnicliff Johnson and survived by his daughters, Betheny Flowers, Deborah Myers, and Becky English as well as 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was most proud of his military service in the US Marine Corps and his accomplishments as an Expert Rifleman. He graduated from the a University of Idaho and taught science and math for the Wallowa School District before retiring to spend more time in the woods as a logger. Otis spent many years prospecting gold from a remote cabin in the Blue Mountains during the summer and an airstream in the Arizona desert during the winter. He enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed hunting big game, rock hunting, camping, and hiking. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your local VFW in his name or to VFW Post 4307, P.O. Box 56, Enterprise, OR 97828. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Lostine Cemetery, Lostine, OR. Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com.
