Otto Friedrich
March 3rd, 1931 - February 13th, 2024
Otto Friedrich passed away on February 13, 2024, on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina at the age of 92. Otto emigrated to Cleveland, Ohio from Hungary during the second World War. There he married Maria Strada and raised 2 daughters, Anne and Kate. As a founding member of the Cleveland Hungarian Heritage Society, he was instrumental in the establishment and success of the Cleveland Hungarian Heritage Museum. He was also active in Hungarian Scouting. In addition to his daughters, he is survived by two grandchildren Greg and Matt and two great-grandchildren, Sam and Maddie. Otto will be interred in Lakewood Park Cemetery, next to his beloved wife, following a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Emeric’s Church on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cleveland Hungarian Museum (clevelandhungarianmuseum.org) or to the American Hungarian Friends of Scouting (csbk.org) would be appreciated.
