Mementos

Tragically, five US Marines lost their lives in a helicopter accident on February 6, 2024. The fallen Marines were members of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California. To provide the Lexington community an opportunity to offer condolences to the families, Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington has provided a register book that is available for signing until Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. The book will then be forwarded to the 3rd MAW Communication Strategy and Operations office. The loss of these brave Marines weighs heavily on our hearts. We honor their service and sacrifice.
