Owen “Joe” Josephson of Eugene, Oregon died on December 7, 2014 of age-related causes. He was 88 years of age.He was born on September 6, 1926 in Automba Township, Minnesota to Henry & Esther (Lampsa) Josephson.He served during WWII with the Navy on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific Theater.He married Betty L. Drentlaw and they celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary this past year.Joe spent his years working at Honeywell & General Electric as a Senior Quality Control Engineer. In one review he was commended as “one of the most respected men in engineering.”He was an avid runner and walker, running five miles a day before going to work at 7:00 AM and continued doing this throughout his life.Joe is survived by a son, Carl Josephson of San Diego, CA and a daughter, Mary Josephson (Barb Fagrell) of Phoenix, AZ, two step-daughers, Peggy (Walid) Saleeby of Eugene, OR and Barbara (Bob) Jespersen of Alexandria, MN., a step-son, Robert (Angie) Ockerman of Marcola, OR and 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Frances Josephson and a daughter, Ann Marie Josephson.A memorial service/celebration of life will be held at Willie’s Lebanese & NW Cuisine on Jan. 8, 2015, at 2:00, with burial arrangements to be decided at a later date.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
