Pamela Jean Chrapowicz

December 29th, 1946 - August 19th, 2024

EDIT:  The service in Slatington PA is now Sunday September 1st, noon to 3pm at Friedens Fire Company.

Pamela Chrapowicz, 77, of Auburndale, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2024, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Jack and Beverly (DeHaven) Morgan.

Pam met her husband, Ray, during high school and their love grew stronger during his tour in the Vietnam War. Their love endured for fifty-eight years and they created a loving family with two children, Sandy and Jim. Being a military family of 23 years, they lived in quite a few places and made many friends along the way.

Pam retired with her husband to Auburndale, Florida in 2015 after a long and varied career at HCSC Laundry in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Pam enjoyed traveling, but her heart was always at home with her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, especially when it came to spoiling her grandsons. She enjoyed volunteering as a polling station worker, with CERT, Vietnam Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, and Xi Phi Sorority.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter.

Pam is survived by her husband, Ray; son, Jim (Kristin); grandsons, Ryan and Alex; brother, Jack Morgan; sister, Donna (Thomas) Kmetz; niece, Stacey Golembeski and daughter McKenna; nephew, John (Jessica) Lowe; and many extended family.

Local friends and family are welcome to join in Pam’s Celebration of Life at the Hamptons Community Room in Auburndale, Florida on Friday, August 23, from 2 to 4 pm. Please wear your brightest colors to celebrate.

Friends and family are welcome to join an additional Celebration of Life at Friedens Fire Company in Slatington, Pennsylvania on Sunday September 1st, from 12 to 3 pm.

Jessica Lowe

Aunt Pam, I still remember the first day we met. Uncle Ray and you welcomed me and my children into the family with open arms. Since then, you have always been there for me through thick and thin offering your love and guidance along the way. You always put others before you. You took care of Uncle Ray the best you could (and you did great). We had our “girlie times” where we both laughed and cried. You always tried to stay strong for your family and you never wanted others to worry about you. I remember calling you “The Hulk” because even at the end you always stayed strong. I remember telling you multiple times to take care of yourself first, but you was stubborn (mean that in a good way) and you always say no. Like I always told you, I wish I could be a strong, loving, and compassionate like you, but I guess I have to try now without you. I wish you were here to give me guidance on how to deal with your loss. I am grateful that because of you I met others with a heart of gold and now I don’t have to go through this alone. Thank you for everything you did for John, my children, and me. We will always be forever grateful. If one thing consoles me is that I know you accomplished many things and you are at peace now. Lastly, now you don’t have to ask me and worry about how Uncle Ray is doing, now you have the opportunity to watch him and care for him in Heaven like you did on Earth. Thank you for all the wonderful times and memories you left me with. I especially want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet Stacey and support each other during this difficult time. I will always love you! Jessica Lowe
