Pamela "Pam" Rae Gordon

Pamela “Pam” Rae Gordon, previously of Linden, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Eugene, OR on June 30, 2021. She is survived by her daughters; Thena “Cindy” (Gales Ferry, CT) and Kathryn (Troy, ID); her son Thomas (Dallas, TX) and six grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Sims (VA). She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Gordon and by her parents, Dr. Leslie B. and Marjorie B. Sims. Pamela was born on June 9, 1942 in Spokane, WA. She graduated Farmington High School in Farmington, IL and attended Shimer College, Mount Carroll, IL and Parsons College, in Fairfield IA. While there, she met her husband of 50 years, Jim. They were married in 1964 and moved to Michigan in 1969. They enjoyed living in their rural Linden home for 40 years; in 2014 they moved to Oregon to be closer to family. Pam and Jim were longtime members of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian church in Fenton, MI. For the last several years, Pam has been a member of Emerald Bible Fellowship in Eugene, OR. While living in Michigan Pam was employed at VG’s grocery store in Fenton for several years. Pam enjoyed knitting and crocheting, singing in the choir and traveling to visit far-flung family. She was thrilled to visit her children and grandchildren in Idaho, Connecticut and Abu Dhabi, UAE as well as a recent trip to Israel with friends. A private family memorial will be held in July.
