• In Loving Memory of Pamela Dewbre Tatsch Funeral services for Pamela Errole Dewbre Tatsch, age 68, will be conducted Thursday morning at 10 Am at her graveside in Claude, Tx. She died peacefully on Friday, March 23 in Walnut Creek, Ca. with her children by her side. Pam was a long-time resident of Comfort, Tx. and most recently resided in Lovington, NM. Pam was born on May 31, 1943 in Amarillo, Tx. Her parents were Bonna Delle and Harold Haddock of Lovington, NM. She was raised by her grandmother and grandfather (Errole and Jacob Rue Porter) in Claude, Tx. until she moved to Lovington at the age of 12. She received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from West Texas State in 1966. Pam then continued her education with post graduate studies at Our Lady of the Lake and Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Tx. She was taught in San Antonio, Comfort and Bandera Texas for over 20 years. She was an extremely dedicated teacher that was able to teach, discipline her class, have the respect of her students, and still be well liked. Tommy Tatsch married Pam at the County Justice of the Peace in Comfort, Texas on September 23, 1989. Together they loved shopping and eating out. Through the years, Pam deeply enjoyed arts and crafts, camping and spending time with her family. She always shared an affinity with animals. She loved her cats, rescuing and providing a home to as many as 11 at one time. She had numerous dogs through the years, as well as chickens and ducks. Pam is survived by her husband Tommy Tatsch of Lovington, NM,; son, Brittan Byerly, his wife, Susan and children (Chelsea, Cole and Cade) of Midland, Tx.; daughter, Angela Eckstein, her husband, Tom and children (Madison and Sophie) of Walnut Creek, Ca.; aunt, Catheryn Porter of Claude, Tx.; cousin, Cindy and her husband, Gordon. She is preceded in death by her brother, Gary Haddock and her parents. Pam will have a graveside service in the Claude cemetery on Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be available on Wednesday night at Robertson funeral home, Claude, TX from 5-7 PM. A reception will be held after the ceremony at noon at the Methodist Church, Claude, TX. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful, dedicated and caring nurses at Lea County General Hospital and at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Lovington, NM.
