Patricia Ann Boxum

Patricia Ann Boxum, 68, of Evans, CO went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2103 at Hospice of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. She was born December 12, 1944 in LaJunta, CO to Wallace and Dorothy (Rodgers) Webber. Pat was raised in Denver, CO and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in art from the Colorado Teacher’s College, now, the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Pat began her career as an art teacher in Downs, KS where she taught in five different schools. On June 6, 1970 Pat and Norman Boxum were united in marriage in Denver. A few years later, she began teaching art at Trinity Lutheran School in Greeley, a job and passion she continued for the next twenty years before retiring in 2011. Pat loved teaching art and especially doing so at a christian school where she was able to talk to her students about their faith. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley. Pat was a caring, happy and out-going person who was always willing to help out when needed. She loved spending time with her family – especially with her grandchildren. Her family will remember her as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Pat is survived by her husband, Norman Boxum of Evans; sons, Chris Boxum and his wife Liza of Bemidji, MN, and Steve Boxum and his wife Mary of Greeley; grandchildren, Gavin, Keegan, Brannon, Jaylee and Chandin; and her brother, Jim Webber and his wife Sandy of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Kimberly Boxum. A celebration of Pat’s life and hope will take place on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley.
