Patricia Bristor

Patricia was born March 17, 1935 in Detroit Michigan, daughter of the late Edward McCutcheon and Dorothy (Dykstra) McCutcheon. In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by husband, William Bristor. She married William in 1973 and moved to Brazil where he worked for Ford. They returned in 1977 where they settled in the Detroit area living first in Birmingham then finally in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Patricia enjoyed painting and gardening. She spent her summers in Bay View, Michigan. The last two years of her life she lived in Lakewood, CO. She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Birmingham, Michigan. Patricia is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Laura and Jim Smith of Fenton MI; two children, a daughter, Laura Hanssen of Denver Colorado; a son and daughter-in-law Carl and Amy Hanssen of Ada Michigan; two grandchildren Christina Hanssen and Jack Hanssen; two nieces Patty Peabody and Carrie Grafft; and four stepdaughters Kathy Bristor, Julia Bristor, Sarah Villeneuve, Caroline Hintlian. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Birmingham, Michigan and Bay View, Michigan. Contributions in memory of Patricia may be made to any of her favorite charities: Little Traverse Bay Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation, Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association, Salvation Army, Detroit Public TV, ASPCA, and Michigan Humane Society.
