Patricia "Patsy" Rosemary Chavez

Patricia (Patsy) Rosemary Chavez, age 67, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on Sunday 11-4-2018. Her twenty-one year battle with illness is over; she was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments. Her wings were ready, our hearts were not. A 1969 graduate of Rio Grande High School, Patsy's strength, compassion, generosity and sense of humor touched the lives of those she met. Patsy showered everyone with endless love and compassion, and was always there for support. Her unconditional love will be greatly missed. Her strength will be an inspiration to those who knew her, she never gave up and we will carry her strength in us every day. Always the animal lover, Patsy's heart could not turn away a stray dog or cat. She was one of a kind, always taking care of others before taking care of herself. All that she did to help others will always be remembered, and we will carry her in our hearts always. Patsy was preceded in death by her father Alcario Anaya. She is survived by her three children: Yvette Claeys and spouse Daniel, Bryan Chavez and Alexandra Espinoza, her four grandchildren: Jasmine Chavez, Sean Claeys, Monique Claeys, and Atreus Jaramillo, her brothers Richard Anaya, Michael Anaya and Albert Anaya and mother Jessie Mora. Patsy's life will be celebrated in a remembrance Mass on Monday November 19, 2018 at 10AM at San Ignacio Catholic Church 1300 Walter St NE Albuquerque, NM 87102 God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So he put his arms around you And whispered, Come to Me. With tearful eyes we watch you And saw you pass away And although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands at rest.
