Patricia B. Clemens of Edmonds, WA died March 8, 2021 . Patricia Jean Brown was the daughter of Charles Faye Brown and Myrtle Morrow; she was born in Pueblo, Colorado on February 22, 1928. She majored in English Literature and minored in Classics at the University of Arizona and married Thomas E. Brents (1923-1955) in 1948. They lived in El Centro, California. She later married Thomas W. Clemens (1926-2005) in 1958. They moved frequently up and down the West Coast, finally ending up in Edmonds, Washington where they lived for many years. Pat loved reading poetry and mysteries, doing crossword puzzles and getting her hair done once a week. She was a patron of the arts, a long-time member of the Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Seattle Repertory, and loved attending ballets and plays. She contributed to the Edmonds Art Festival. She and her husband, Tom, were season ticket holders for the Huskies, the Seahawks and the Sonics for many years. They enjoyed traveling to different cities during March Madness to see basketball games. They enjoyed overseas visits to Japan, Ireland and France. They spent a wonderful week in New York City with their daughter Nancy, watching as many Broadway plays as possible and sightseeing. She was generous in support of public education volunteering in her daughters’ classrooms for many years, often at the instigation of her children. She volunteered in classrooms, Girl Scout and Camp Fire Girls groups and actively supported annual school fundraisers and PTA events. Always she was concerned with helping people. She was a member of the P.E.O. for over 60 years, serving a term as President of the local chapter and hosting many meetings. She was active in Maplewood Presbyterian Church in Edmonds, WA., serving as a deacon and Elder of the church and participated in the Women’s Circle. She received a special award from the Mountlake Terrace Food Bank for her many years of work with the Food Bank where she was found every Tuesday for many years. She was a member of the League of Women Voters registering people to vote and working to pass school levies. She is survived by her daughters: Leslie Brents (Edward Watts), Barbara Weber (Bill Weber), Nancy Clemens, and Lisa Clemens-Mitchell (Rick Mitchell), her two grandsons: Brendan Watts and Thomas Weber; and the daughters, Karen, Dana and Kristin, and grandchildren of her sister, Virginia Faye Bailey (1933-2021). The family would like to thank the Caregivers and Staff at The Happy Home family care facility for their dedication and care of Pat during her last years. They kept her safe and happy and we are very grateful.
