Patricia Evelyn Lafferty Clemmons March 9, 1937 - November 21, 2013 Kingsport - Patricia Evelyn Lafferty Clemmons, 76, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Wexford House after a short illness. She was born in Glenn Morrison, West Virginia; she was a former resident of Roanoke, Virginia and had lived in Kingsport for the past twenty-three years. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved the Lord, the people in her church and she devoted her life to her family and the needs of others. Mrs. Clemmons was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Brady Lafferty; sister, Billy Pinson; brother, Roger Lafferty; son in law, Tim Grant and daughter in law, Martha Lilly. Surviving are her loving husband of 23 years, Ed Clemmons of the home; son and daughter in law, Dewey and Joanie Lilly of Roanoke, Virginia; daughter, Lydia Grant of Kingsport; two granddaughters, Gidget Grant of Kingsport and Catherine Lilly of Roanoke, Virginia; two great granddaughters, Alexandria (Alex) and Victorya (Tori) Grant, both of Kingsport; brother and sister in law, Walter and Jenny Lafferty of West Virginia; brother and sister in law, Agie and Shirley Lafferty of Roanoke, VA and two special people, Michael Wheeley and Justin Wheeley. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Charity Baptist Church, 217 Stage Road, Kingsport, TN 37664 with Pastor Mike Owens and Rev. Mark Tonojo. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses on Unit 5 of Wexford house.
