Patricia "Pat" M. Haynor Maaswinkel
May 13th, 1944 - October 14th, 2021
Patricia M. Haynor-Maaswinkel, 77, of West Deptford, New Jersey. Legacy On October 14th, 2021, Patricia Manzi Haynor Maaswinkel peacefully passed away. “Pat” is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Donald, her four children and their spouses, Kelly, Craig (Melissa), Jessica (Matthew), Greg (Yen), her mother Rose, and seven wonderful grandchildren, who were the absolute loves of her life. Pat was preceded in death by her father Michael, her siblings Ronnie and Michael, and her son Christopher. Pat lived her 77 years of life to the fullest. In service to her family and friends, she lived by the principles of humility, empathy and compassion for others, and to have unconditional love for those closest to us. As a mother, she encouraged her children to dream big, and to never give up on those dreams no matter the adversity they may face. Pat was a big sister to five younger siblings, Ronnie, Michael, Elizabeth, Barbara and Sean. She was ever a strong presence, always providing guidance, love and support to her younger brothers and sisters. In service of others professionally, she traveled the world, teaching a principled work ethic while experiencing many different cultures and regions along the way. Pat, PhD, RN, spent her early career as a Nurse Administrator. Her later career focused on teaching nursing leadership and administration. She taught for 3 years at the University of Delaware and for 30 years at Villanova University. Nationally, Pat published numerous articles, reviewed textbooks, films and software for J. B. Lippincott. She conducted many workshops, programs and presentations, and judged the Nursing Management Book of the Year for the American Journal of Nursing. Internationally, Pat taught in the Sultanate of Oman and in Barcelona, Spain to promote nursing leadership and administration in those countries. She worked tirelessly to improve the work environment for professional nurses by providing healthcare institutions with well prepared nursing leadership. Pat will be missed by many, today and forever. She left the world as we know it, and the people in it, in a better place through her many selfless and deliberate contributions. McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury
We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
